We are excited to announce that the Foundher Network has launched a new podcast, called “Women Making it Work: Stories from the Front Lines of Female Entrepreneurship.” We have so many talented women in our network, and despite our diversity, it’s remarkable how many of the same challenges we face. So we decided that we’d draw upon our multiple resources, and reach out to the experts we most admire, to create a vibrant exploration of the topics that are most significant to today’s female entrepreneurs.
We’ll be looking at work/life balance in all of its dimensions, including the trials and tribulations of being a working mom, juggling full-time and freelance gigs, balancing business and creative aspirations, and even the challenges of infertility. We’ll explore cutting edge business topics – the latest growth strategies and technologies, socially responsible and sustainable business practices, and workplace innovations like remote companies and co-working spaces. We will share useful tech tips, personal anecdotes and of course, voices from the front lines of female entrepreneurship – interviews with the women who are inspiring us to be more creative, more courageous and more successful.
Our first episode features an interview with Leslie Short, Owner and CEO of K.I.M. Media LLC, a multi-media agency that specializes in branding, events, design and weddings. Leslie has had an amazing career beginning with creative roles as a dancer, choreographer, designer and TV producer. Following that, she became a successful event planner and marketer. In all, she’s had over 25 years of domestic and international marketing and branding experience, including five years as the COO and Head of Special Projects for The Shark Group, which is the branding and marketing company of ABC-Shark Tank star, Daymond John. Leslie currently works primarily as a freelance Corporate Operations Strategist, a kind of COO for hire. But have a listen and see for yourself! Leslie is definitely one of the more impressive female executives we know, and we were thrilled to have her be part of our inaugural episode!
